Ken did a great job negotiating settlement on our total loss Chevy Bolt. Before hiring Ken, Liberty Mutual offered $9500 and then I found several nearly identical cars for around $15-16k and tried to negotiate with Liberty Mutual by sending them a list of comps....this resulted in only about a $600 increase and a lot of frustration from the insurance company claims adjuster and appraiser playing good cop/bad cop with me and insurance company playing games like lowering claim amount by an EV credit I don't even qualify for. I then told insurance company that I would invoke appraisal clause in policy and hired Ken and he negotiated settlement of $15,500 (almost a $5K increase from what I managed). There is a law in Oregon that if the appraisal increases from insurance offer by even $0.01 that insurance company must reimburse you for the appraisal, so Liberty Mutual also got stuck paying Ken for his service and my total cost for Ken's service was $0. Only downside is that the process takes a couple weeks.....that's probably part of the game where insurance company hopes you just sign whatever they put in front of you. I will recommend Ken to everyone that I know who is in a similar position in the future.

I was recently involved in an accident which totaled my beloved 100 Series Land Cruiser. I consider myself to be a pretty good negotiator and figured I would be able to get a decent settlement from my insurance company. I was WRONG. It was a gigantic, time-wasting headache. After spending a bunch of time gathering and submitting documentation to prove that their settlement offer was absurdly low they agreed and increased their offer by $500 - ridiculous. At this point I engaged Ken to help. He was a steady hand through the entire process and provided a real education on how this whole dumb system works. In the end he was able to get the offer increased by over $8k (!) which made the final settlement much closer to what the value of the car was. If you find yourself in a similar situation I suggest not wasting your time trying to do it yourself. Just hire Ken.
